Why this work matters.
Countless talented young individuals struggle to find their way through complex societal frameworks that were never effectively demystified for them.  It is not a result of limited ambition or a deficit in work ethic. Rather, they were never granted the specific roadmaps, professional vocabulary, or mentorship required to navigate such landscapes with poise. ​ Pathways Beyond Barriers delivers tangible resources, expert advocacy, and steady engagement so students can choose wisely, establish firm ground, and unlock expansive possibilities for their lives.

Preparation over pity
We provide what people need to move forward: resources, mentorship, life skills, and clear next steps.
Access without performance
People should not have to package their struggle or prove their pain before receiving support.
Specific over vague
We communicate what we do, whom we serve, and what happens next.
Systems over chaos
Good intentions are not enough. Meaningful work requires structure, follow-through, and accountability.
We are building what access should have already made possible.
The Founder
Jazmine Turner is an educator, nonprofit founder, MBA, PMP, and former Big 4 auditor based in Houston, Texas.
Before founding Pathways Beyond Barriers, Jazmine spent years in public accounting and systems-heavy spaces where structure, discipline, leadership, and problem-solving were not optional.
Not the cute kind.
The kind you learn when you have to figure things out in real time, sit with what is uncomfortable, and keep building anyway.
Over time, Jazmine began asking a different question:
What would it look like to build something useful, intentional, and accessible for people who are constantly expected to figure it out alone?
That question became Pathways Beyond Barriers.
Built to make support clearer, more practical, and easier to reach.
Because at the core of the work is a simple belief: people cannot reach their full potential in spaces they were never meant to shrink themselves to fit inside.
